The first weeks of December in St. Moritz are when the Engadine valley quietly comes back to life. The great hotels (Badrutt's Palace, Suvretta House, Carlton) reopen, the first snow settles on the slopes above Corviglia, and the families who own the chalets above the lake return for the season.
